New Resource: Canadian Clinical Trial Search Portal
Health Canada has developed a new resource for Canadians: The Canadian Clinical Trial Search Portal.
While similar to the FDA’s clinicaltrials.gov, this new portal enables Canadian patients to search and view information on clinical trials that Health Canada has approved involving human pharmaceutical, biologic and radiopharmaceutical drugs.
If you’re a patient, you can find information about clinical trials that may be relevant to your medical condition, including where trials are taking place.
If you’re a researcher, health care provider or other stakeholder, you can:
- find out how a clinical trial is progressing
- download trials based on your search results
- access summary results via weblinks to international registries
FSHD patients can simply enter “FACIOSCAPULOHUMERAL MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY” in the disease field to see an up-to-date listing of trials tied to FSHD.
