Two FSHD Muscle Regeneration Compounds Enter Clinical Trials This Summer
The momentum in FSHD muscle regeneration research continues to grow.
Scholar Rock recently announced plans to launch its phase 2 FORGE clinical trial of apitegromab, a myostatin inhibitor designed to preserve and improve muscle strength and function, in people living with FSHD by mid-2026.
Now, NovMetaPharma has announced a new clinical development and licensing collaboration with FSHD Canada Foundation to advance Cyclo-Z, a first-in-class oral muscle-preserving therapy, into clinical development for FSHD.
Together, these announcements mark an exciting milestone, with two promising muscle regeneration treatments expected to enter clinical trials for FSHD this summer.
