I was a diagnosed at the age of 13 (1983). Neither of my parents have nor carry the gene. There is no family history. When I was 23, I had a son and he was then diagnosed at age 3 however I knew immediately at birth he had fshd. We have both struggled to adapt even year to the ongoing weakness but take one day at a time.
